Katsuji Tanabe is considered to be the most dynamic and beloved contestant to compete on Top Chef. Over three seasons on the show plus appearances on the Food Network and PBS he has became a fan favorite.
Immigrating to Los Angeles from Mexico at the age of 18, by 2009 he had opened his first restaurant – a Mexican Kosher concept in Beverly Hills.
Today he is based in Raleigh, NC where he helms A’Verde Cocina with a new cook book and a line of hot sauce launching this fall.
